Sean,

I am a 7th/8th grade teacher of a Peer Mediation classand have used both your books as the main curriculum.  I have several students who have returned this year and would love to meet you in person.  What are the odds that you would be able to find time in your busy schedule to come make an even bigger impression on young lives?

Sincerely,

Kathy Moshier    Tropico Middle School

Messy…

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

I live in Costa Rica and go to a very good school. My class is the smallest in the school and that limits my to very few friends. I am told that I am outgoing, but I consider myself quite shy. Most of the people above 8th grade, treat my whole class pretty badly, as if we were some kind of losers. I try not to mind, but deep down, it really does upset me. As well, my best friend moved to Brazil, and my favorite cousin now goes to FLAIR. I rarely see them, and they are my support system. I feel very selfish thinking that I deserve friends that can be there for me. I cannot do anything about my cousin and best friend. Changing schools is absolutely out of the question, my mother can’t afford it. My parents are divorced, so my father is quite absent. He is always too busy with work and his girlfriend, plus he lives on the other side of town. Should I tell him how I feel? What should I do about school and friends?
P.S. I have been reading your book. It’s just hard to “dump” my friends. People at school aren’t very nice, specially sophomores and seniors…
