Hi Again

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

Okay, so I posted here yesterday, but my teacher said that there were capitalization errors so i’m posting again. I read the 7 Habbits and The 6 Decisions. I found them really interesting. Since i’m not really that old, some of the topics weren’t for me, but someday they will be. My schoolwork and study habbits are really improving. I’m also spending much less time on my cell phone or on my computer.

hi, my names Rachel

my teacher told us we should post a blog on one of our favorite authors websites. well, at first, I thought it was a little silly, but I think it makes sense now. Here we go, I’ve read the 7 habbits of highly effective teens and the six decisions, I really liked them for some reason. My friends kept saying, “Rachel, put that down and read something interesting”. for some reason, though, I couldn’t. I’m just barely a teen, but I found the books useful towards my schoolwork. I love readeing the stories of other people’s experiences and learning from their mistakes,

Life Changing..!

Monday, November 20th, 2006

I found 7 Habits in one corner of my house. It belongs to my elder bro(he didnt finish it anyway).. I picked it up, and started reading and ..it strucked me.. thts the “AHA” moment. After reading and learning to practice it, it had slowly changed my life. I shared it with my girl-friend, and both of us are very much Principle-Centered, we’re glad. So when we saw 6 decisions came out in the market, we’re so excited and we bought it together. Because we believe it’ll complete to be a blessing to us. Thanks Sean for such Inspiration..smtg which is so basic yet no one practice it.

Leo & Addy..

God Bless

Hi!

I LOVE your book……. even though I’m 24, married, with one 2 year old son, music teacher, and finishing my BS is Biotechnology. I would like to live my teen years again after reading this book….but too late, ha!

Anyway, I’m working with the Young Women at Church and this book is helping me to deal with difficult situations in a very funny and serious way.

Can you translate this book in Spanish? It would be great for my ladies and for the rest of the hispanic countries. Also, can you make your wife write “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Women (that includes all of our roles: mother, wife, student, leader, nurse, motivator….etc)”? I’ll buy it as soon as you have it!

Thanks again! The quality of the paper, cover, pictures, everything of the book motivated me also to read it and share it!

Thanks!!

Sincerely,

Dinner at Parents

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

One time before a dance at school all my friends and dates came to my parents house and had dinner.  My parents made dinner, my mom decorated the dining room with candles and white lights, my brother was our waiter.  They served us dinner. It was fun!

Carving Pumpkins

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

I went on a group date with a lot of different couples.  In October (close to Halloween) us girls asked guys out in creative ways.  We went to the grocery store and picked out pumpkins.  We went to a near by park and carved pumpkins and had subway sandwiches.?

Fall Picnic

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

My friend and I planned a picnic dinner and movie double date.  It was to cold to eat outside so we planned to take our dates to a movie in another city close by and have a picnic dinner in her parents mini van. The girls packed a dinner in a cooler and took out the middle seat in the mini van.  We put down a blanket and all sat on the van floor and had a picnic dinner in the movie parking lot.  We then went and saw a Disney movie and had icecream afterwards.  It was fun!

Video Game Night

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

This is one of my most favorite dates! It was a double date. You could have more couples if you wanted to. We got together at my dates partents house.  We ordered pizza (you could make your own personal pan pizzas too) then we played video games.  We played four player games, but then we also played guys against girls or couples against couples and took turns with the controllers. We were having so much fun we took a break and went to the grocery store and got a ton of treats to eat while playing the games. We played games until really late that night.  It was so much fun we got together again to do the same thing a couple nights later.

Amazing Race

Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

I recently heard of an idea for a group date that I personally never experienced first-hand but it sounded like a lot of fun. If you have ever seen the “Amazing Race” the theme of the date focuses around that. It’s basically a scavenger hunt done in teams-in this case you and your date are a team. This particular example I heard about took place at a mall. To begin, each team receives an envelope with instructions telling them where they will receive their next clue. Once they find that location (for example- the McDonald’s in the food court) they will get a new envelope with a clue. This clue could be a task that one or both team members have to perform. For instance- they may have to “Eat it or Drink It” in which one of the team members would have to eat an entire Big Mac or Drink a Large shake. To throw an extra twist in there- the person eating or drinking would be fed by their date. Once the task is completed, the team would receive their next clue. This could go on for a few tasks until they receive a final clue which will take them to the “Pit Stop” where there would be a prize for the first place team. Obviously, this would take a lot of creativity, prep time, and coordination with store-owners (and maybe parents if you need help with refereeing the tasks and handing out clues), but it would definitely make for an unforgettable and exciting date!

Go Someplace Unique

Friday, November 10th, 2006

A fun date that I enjoyed happened while we were driving by a park.  We saw a group of people having some sort of meeting, so we decided to go and check it out.  It happened to be a monthly gardening meeting.  We were by far the youngest people there, and so we immediately received a lot of attention.  Neither of us knew anything about gardening, but we enjoyed the people watching.  We even won a door prizes for being the youngest people there.   It was something completely different , but ended up being a lot of fun.
