Sean, You Rock!

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Hi,
All I can say is Sean’s first book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” has a big impact on me. It has changed my life. It was a door to many many opportunities and many great books too. I’d never known that there were such books before I read the 7 Habits. I went on and learned a lot from personal development stuff. It was like a whole new world from me. I am a much better man than I was, and still improving :) ; or sharpening the saw as you might say.

Okay, what’s even better is this “The 6 Decisions.” It answers almost all questions a teenager want to know. The thing I appreciate the most is the effort Sean made to write such an interesting book that wouldn’t bore out an easily distracted teen like me; those cartoons and artwork are awesome, btw.

Sean’s work really inspired me as it was the first personal development I’ve ever read.

Now I also want to share great stuff and help other people reach their goals and their greatest potential too; this has become my passion now :)

Hey Sean,

Just read your book couple of days back, and i should be saying that it was a marvellous book. The biggest thing i was happy as well as surprised about was that elder’s in countries like America also convince their children not to have sex and stuff, and ofcourse you have done a nice work. I am saying this because most of people like me (living in Asia) know about America etc just by your movies, and just as you mentioned in your book, that they never show any problems in movies as well as kind of encourage youngers to do so. I guess they should be a little careful in movies, don’t you think?
And guess what… i am on the low road in only ‘friends’, in the rest in am on the high road mostly… or atleast pretty near to high road. It feels good to know that. :)

The Ripple Effect

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

Hi Sean,

I am a high school educator in Cape Town, South Africa and I would like to pass on to you what a WOW book the 6 decisions is to tach from. I am currently using it for my Life Orientation lessons for my 8th and 9th grade classes (13 - 15 year olds) and they are hooked. The effect of the lessons learnt by my boys has been a ripple effect in our school and the boys are actually LIVING the 6 decisions.

This book, coupled with the 7 Habits has made teaching, mentoring and guiding teenagers an even more awaesome experience!!! Thank you for the Ripple effect that you have created.

 Warm Regards,

hey sean,

just wanted to say thanks for the book, i had bought it on my skoolies trip an read it on the plane trip home, it made me realised i am in charge of my future.

 not anyone else, but me.

I’ve read it a few times an my sisters even borrowed it, which is good.

when i read it, it keeps me focused an on the mark, i enjoy, knowing i’m not the only one benefitting from this book of yours, i’m scouting my local book stores for your other book on “the 7 habits of highly effective teens”

Your book keeps me motivated, an encouraged to go ahead an tackle the obstacles ahead. thanks. you’ve changed my life. an my family’s as well.

Thanks for caring enough to write these books.

The Care and Feeding of Teenagers

We are very impressed with Sean Covey’s practical and applicable advice for teens.  Lots of what we incorporate in our weekly blog for the Muskogee Daily Phoenix is exactly what you are sharing with kids.  I actually used this site in the blog today. Our drop-out rate is too high in this community and in this state.  As two senior class teachers, Mel and I have cajoled, pleaded, threatened and bribed our students to stay in school. Your 1st decision step is easy and straight on.

Check our site out for interesting comments and insights from both parents and teens.   http://muskogeephoenixonline.com/blogs/MelonyCarey/
